Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets the rules for using the Closr AI outbound calling platform (the “Service”). It is part of our Terms of Service. Because Closr places real phone calls on your behalf, misuse can harm real people and expose you and us to serious legal liability. Breaking this policy is a material breach and can result in immediate suspension.
01Consent & calling law
You may only call people you have a lawful basis to contact. You are responsible for obtaining and keeping records of any consent required in the jurisdictions your calls touch, including prior express (and, where required, written) consent for automated, prerecorded, or AI-voice marketing calls. You must comply with all applicable telemarketing and calling laws, including the U.S. TCPA and FCC rules, the Telemarketing Sales Rule, state and national calling laws, and equivalent laws elsewhere. You must respect permitted calling hours and lawful call-frequency limits.
02Do-not-call & opt-out
You must scrub your lists against applicable do-not-call registries and your own internal opt-out list before calling. When a person asks not to be called again, asks to be removed, or otherwise opts out, you must honour it promptly and permanently suppress that number. The Service provides do-not-call and suppression tooling — you must use it and keep it current. Do not attempt to disable, evade, or override opt-out handling.
03Honesty & disclosure
You must not deceive the people you call. You must accurately identify who is calling and, where required, disclose the purpose of the call, the entity you represent, and — where the law requires — that the call uses an automated or AI system. You must present accurate caller-ID and must not spoof, falsify, or misrepresent the originating number or caller identity.
04Call recording
If you enable call recording, you are responsible for providing any legally required notice to, or obtaining consent from, the called party before recording, according to the laws of every jurisdiction involved (some require all parties to consent). You must handle recordings and transcripts securely and only for lawful purposes.
05Prohibited campaigns
You must not use the Service to make calls that:
- promote or carry out any scam, fraud, phishing, or deceptive scheme, including impersonating a bank, government agency, tech-support line, or any person or organization you are not;
- offer or promote illegal goods or services, or goods and services in a way that is illegal in the recipient’s location;
- harass, threaten, intimidate, defame, or abuse the called party, or continue after a request to stop;
- target vulnerable individuals for exploitation, or knowingly call numbers you are prohibited from calling (including emergency lines);
- distribute unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative, or violent content, or content that endangers minors;
- make unsolicited marketing calls without the consent or legal basis required in the recipient’s jurisdiction;
- violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
06Fraud & network abuse
You must not use the Service to commit telecom fraud or abuse the network, including: traffic pumping, international revenue-share fraud (IRSF), dialing premium-rate or high-cost destinations to generate illicit revenue, autodialing sequential or randomly generated numbers without a lawful basis, or generating artificial call volume. You must not exceed reasonable concurrency or rate limits, evade our fraud and toll-fraud controls, or use the Service in a way that threatens carrier relationships or network stability.
07Security & integrity
You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure; probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the platform without authorization; interfere with or disrupt the Service; introduce malware; scrape or harvest data you are not entitled to; or reverse-engineer, resell, or sublicense the Service except under an authorized reseller arrangement. Keep your credentials and any agent access tokens confidential.
08Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with carriers, regulators, and law enforcement. We may, with or without notice, throttle, suspend, or terminate campaigns or accounts, remove content, block numbers or destinations, and retain records as required by law. We are not obligated to monitor campaigns, but we may act on violations we become aware of. Charges already incurred remain payable, and you remain responsible for your activity.
09Reporting abuse
If you received a call you believe violates this policy, or you want to report misuse of the Service, contact us at abuse@closrcall.com. Include the number that was called, the approximate date and time, and any details you have, and we will investigate and route opt-out or suppression requests to the responsible customer.
